OH MY!! She is gorgeous!! I've always loved the tortoiseshell colored cats!!! Not that I think you should change her name (I have no idea what it is), but this site shows a few pictures of other tortoiseshell colored cats - which I think are gorgeous! www.thehappycatsite.com/tortoiseshell-cat-names/May she be the perfect family addition for you!!!

Oh, I love this site! Yes, we’re still thinking of a name. Thank you! I had never heard of a torbie until now. She has very cute orange tabby stripes on her face, so she fits the torbie definition. She also has RBF and almost always looks angry even when she’s purring. She’s such a funny little thing, and sometimes her skinny little tail curls up like a corkscrew. I really don’t need this extra responsibility, but she is just the sweetest! Her little belly is still all flabby from having kittens too, so it’s really funny. Thankfully all of her kittens got adopted before we even saw her, or else we probably would’ve ended up with one of her babies too! I would have hated to split them up, but I don’t even need ONE cat, let alone two! Ha! She matches our swamp colored couch. It goes well with all of the mud that kids and dogs bring in, but it is really looking rough now. I’m wondering if I should bother getting anything new now that we have a cat in the house!

I thought she might be a chimera because of the two sides of her face looking different, but apparently that’s a pretty typical tortie pattern. The genuine chimeras (two separate embryos that joined together early in development) out there have two different sets of DNA, and their two sides to their faces are drastically different. I think they’re very unusual to find!
