My brother sent me an article by Dr. David Williams saying this stuff works really well for killing dormant persisting Lyme with only one drop mixed in a cup of tea or large glass of water a day. He cited a study done by Johns Hopkins University. He stressed that he would use only cinnamon bark extract, not cinnamon leaf extract, and the kind he suggested that was used in the study was sold by a company named Plant Guru in Plainfield, NJ.
Of course, these tests were done on bacteria cultures in petri dishes, so I don’t have any real data on humans unfortunately.
He REALLY stressed that it should be diluted and that it can irritate skin and mucous membranes, and in another article mentioned that some people even used it undiluted to get rid of warts. He said, “The need for diluting cinnamon bark oil cannot be overstressed.”
He also mentioned other essential oils that worked from the Johns Hopkins article: garlic and oregano topped the list with cinnamon bark oil, but of these three, only cinnamon has the “generally recognized as safe” status with the FDA. I think oregano oil is used in Cowden, and I’ve heard that garlic has made people herx before which shows that it’s killing bacteria.
He said he would use one drop drop of oil in at least 6 ounces of water per day provided that he didn’t experience any irritation or allergic reaction and would continue this for three to four weeks and then discontinue.
So Trav, what do YOU think? I just started it and then came down with a horrible sore throat, fever, and blocked sinuses. I don’t think it’s an allergic reaction because I feel feverish and sneezy more like a cold, and the illness didn’t go away when I stopped the one drop yesterday. I know I’m allergic to oregano, so I can’t use that. I love garlic, but I’m not specifically treating with it and have never herxed from eating it. My LLMD also has me on cumanda, and so I’m continuing that too, still on one drop.
As usual, I’m detoxing with baking soda baths, Yogi detox tea, molybdenum, Nutramedix Sparga, and vitamin C.
I’ve also just gotten a higher dose of thyroid medicine. I’m going from 30 mg of Armour the 45 for 2 weeks and then up to 60 mg after that.
Any thoughts?
