CDC just has to have their nose in everything! We all know that isn't really going to help everyone! My lyme came out the day after I was bite by the tick, early that morning (2 am,about 12 hrs after bite) woke up hurting n crying. I dont think in my case that would of matter. Because you can't get a doctor's appt that fast anyway, the ER is a huge joke. I feel the sooner the better get tested.?? But that is my opinion.

As long as the person understands that testing is very flawed and a negative result does not mean in any way that you don't have the infection(s). We even have a CDC spokesperson saying that it may take multiple tests for a Lyme infection to 'show up', and if you have symptoms even with a negative test, to insist on treatments!!!!! CDC advises you may need multiple Lyme disease tests after a tick bite
