And I"m so very sorry for being MIA for so much of the week! It was the busiest week I've had since I was in remission and I survived!!! I was away from the house for 13 hours on Monday (yikes!)- but I slept for 12 hours that night (gasp!) Tuesday I was pretty much a zombie though. Wednesday hubby had an appointment 3 hours away, a waste of time but it's done now. LOL - test results were all 'normal'. Whew! since it was a Cardiologist. But I was able to sleep 10 hours that night. Thursday I only had to go out to get groceries, but it was a long day because I was so tired. LOL. Again, I slept another 10 hours! Today is catch up day! I'm catching up on emails and this forum, so I very much appreciate you all 'carrying on' without me!!! That's what I had hoped for! I'm so grateful that my adrenals are now to a level that I can do things, but I can also tell that I must continue to be very careful, or I'll wind up back down in Addison's 'territory' yet again - and I can't go back to that!!

Hi Traveler!-
WOW! That's a lot of things going on for 1 week!!
I was hoping that everything was ok for you. Sometimes when people are away from a forum, it's hard to know if they are struggling or if they have other things going on in their lives.
I am happy to hear your husband's test results were all "normal". That must be a relief! It can be stressful with tests and waiting for results.
I know that you already know this but, Please do remember to be kind to yourself so your adrenals don't crash.
It is great to see you around again!

It was a very long week for me! But, I made it and it's proof that I'm doing soooo much better with my adrenals and thyroid!! YAY!!!! I'm always concerned about overdoing it, as I have not only no doctor to guide me, but no health insurance to go to the hospital! But, not going to the hospital isn't really a concern for me - they couldn't help me anyway, and would almost certainly make my situation worse.
Thank you!! It's sooooo nice to be at home today! LOL!!!! It's a sweats wearing day for sure! LOL!

Hi and welcome back to your forum ! How are you able to sleep that long ? I am jealous..... Scott I want to know too! That would be glorious to get that many hours in a row. This is so much worse than having newborns, and I thought that was bad!

Well, my adrenals are finally healing!! That's the only reason I'm sleeping now. I used to only get 2 hours of 'rest'. I was actually only sleeping very lightly. I told the doctors I could literally feel the life draining out of me simply because I couldn't sleep.
I used to think I was still battling things like Bartonella and Babesia (Babesia is known to cause insomnia, by the way), but now, after re-reviewing (lol, for the umpteenth time!) a list of symptoms, I'm pretty sure it's Mycoplasma and Rickettsia (RMSF). Those symptom pictures fit me better - a lot better. So I'll continue on in my treatment of those and continue in healing my adrenals and thyroid.
Believe me!!! I'm nearly as surprised as you all would be! LOL! I wasn't sure what to expect - and to say I was nervous about it all, is a pretty big understatement! I nearly backed out of it all! But, I kept telling myself that I would never know if I didn't try. As I said, it was a bit much, so I won't be doing that much "out and about-ing" for a while again! I need to get more healing under my belt before I try that again.
There is soooo much that affects our sleep!! We can have our symptoms keep us from sleeping well, without having actual "insomnia". It can be our adrenals, thyroid, Mycoplasma, Babesia or maybe something else. It can be a simple fact of constipation that keeps us from sleeping well, or not having our room the right temp (who can with us constantly needing the temp to change as we get too warm or too cold with these infections), it may be that a simple remedy will help, or you may need several.
One thing is for sure though, these infections and their symptoms definitely cause sleep issues - and we simply have to keep working on the issues that are stopping us from resting well. Do be sure to nap when you can though! I used to take 'cat naps' or '20 minute power naps' a lot in order to get through the day. Once I started sleeping through the night though, the need for those is nearly gone - unless it's a hectic day for me.
