I've been playing lately with fermenting my own vegetables and recently did a big batch of garlic cloves. I fermented these in salt brine, not in vinegar.
You can use it like you would use regular garlic in cooking, but I decided to try just eating a clove each day. The first night after I are one, I had a serious herx, with lots of digestive symptoms. I released a lot of dead Candida and liver flukes. Now I have been working on killing Candida forever. I've used herbal different herbal and homeopathic treatments, all of which have been moderately effective. But never have I released this much from my body at a time.
I cut back to a half clove for a few days, but now I'm back to a whole clove each day. I'm really impressed with it so far and plan on keeping it up for a while. Compared to a lot of the other supplements I've taken, this is so easy and inexpensive. Hopefully it helps someone else!

Thank you for letting us know your successes with this!!! That's wonderful! It's amazing how the simplest formulas are sometimes still the most effective!

Hi Nosila welcome
I use a lot of fresh garlic myself or Oregano Oil. Both of them are great natural antibiotics ( I use a lot of the essential oils.) Oregano oil, will kick butt too! but u can't take it alone, u have to use virgin olive oil or coconut oil. I use oregano oil a lot when I have a cold etc. I experiment also with the oils.
My husband calls it my vodo meds. But it works for me!

Hi nosila!-
Thank you for sharing you experience with fermented garlic!
I have read stories of other people also herxing on garlic. There are many wonderful things that garlic does for us. And fermented foods.
I use to mash up 4 avocados, chop 1 head of garlic, lime juice & lime zest, sea salt, pepper. This is what I would use on my salads, as a dressing.
My husband hated it when I ate this! LOL! He could always smell the garlic on my breath.
I think that I have read about people swallowing the cloves whole, so that they still get the benefit of the garlic without the "garlic dragon breath". I shoud try try this sometime so that I can continue to take garlic and keep my husband happy also! LOL!
I hope that the garlic will help you to get control of your overgrowth of Candida and liver flukes!

LOL! After using it for about 2 weeks, my husband asked me to not use fresh garlic like that too!! Ha ha ha!! It could be smelled when I would sweat!!! I still use a lot of garlic in my cooking - it's too good not to!

Lol, the fermented garlic doesn't have quite as much odor as fresh, but my husband still notices it!
I hadn't heard of swallowing it whole. I'm not sure I could bring myself to try that. I suppose it would help with the garlic breath, but maybe not with the smell coming from your skin.
A few years ago, I wouldn't have imagined that I would ever be doing this, or half the other crazy things I do now for my health!

Thank you! I wanted to ask you yesterday, if the fermented garlic was less noticeable with odor, but I forgot.
The only reason that I haven't tried to swallow the whole garlic clove, is my fear of choking on it. LOL! I have really dumb and bad luck, so I am kind of afraid to try this. Although I have swallowed horse sized tablets in the past, maybe I have nothing to worry about.
"A few years ago, I wouldn't have imagined that I would ever be doing this, or half the other crazy things I do now for my health!" Ha Ha Ha!! LOL!!!! I totally agree with you!! Several years ago, I would have never though that I would be treating myself for: fungus (Candida), mold, bacteria (lyme), babesia, bartonella, and parasites!!

LB, choking was the first thing that went through my mind when you mentioned swallowing it whole. I thought the same thing about swallowing horse pills, but somehow, pills seem different in my mind than pieces of food. I don't know why! The other thing I wonder about swallowing them, is if they digest well enough to get the same benefit. If I had the funding, I would do a study to find out.

You could coat the garlic clove in coconut oil - if the coconut oil is in liquid state, only a very thin film will remain - and it would sure help it go down!!!
A person would have to have a severely impacted GI system to not be able to break down a garlic clove. My GI is pretty messed up (pseudo-blockages, leaky gut, malabsorption issues that are much better now though, and a few other things) - but I'm pretty sure that if I had the stones to try raw garlic again, I could digest it - it's the smell from my skin that bothers everyone. Of course, now that I'm much better detoxed, that might be enough to have changed that?!?!?! I'll have to try it and find out one day!!!

Do you put the oregano oil on your skin?
"My husband calls it my vodo meds." LOL!!! My husband looked at me crazy when I use to eat 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil.

Hi Little bear,
No you can't put the oregano oil directly on the skin. You have to use the coconut oil or the olive oil with it. I put it in a capsule. You have to put so much oil to a drop of the essential oil.
If you want to put it on your skin, the best place to start off is on the bottom of your feet, under the toes. Just to see how you react to it. A lot involved, just like using herbs

Oregano oil is very strong, and does have a tendency to burn the skin as well. I used it on my skin one time - for a brown recluse spider bite. I managed to give myself a concussion a few hours after I had made an appt to see the Dr to get treatment for spider bite. Knowing that I had only so many hours to get treatment before I ended up with a massive hole in my leg, and I couldn't drive with a concussion, I turned to the only herb I had a lot of experience with at the time - oregano oil. While it did work (amazingly enough!!), I sure wouldn't recommend anyone doing it!! Burning doesn't quite capture the kind of pain that I experienced when I put the oil of oregano on the bite! It was down right scary. But, I also only have a scar just slightly smaller than a dime left on my calf today though. By the way, I did go in to the doc about 2 days later, and got the special surgical scrub and something else to apply to the bite. He was pretty impressed with the way the bite looked after 2 days on my own - but I'd rather not do that again!! LOL! Let's just say that I'm much, much more cautious about digging around in old paperwork since then! Never ever put full strength oregano oil under the tongue, like I've seen some people suggest. There's no way they can honestly hold it there for the minute or two they say they do. They MUST be using a diluted oil of oregano. Minimum dilution would be 1:1 (one drop of oregano oil to one drop of good quality olive oil) for topical use. For internal use, I just buy the oil of oregano caps now - MUCH easier to swallow!!!! And no burning on the way down! Some companies sell a pre-diluted oil of oregano, so do watch for that if you buy this.
