That the only way to get these infections is to get it from a tick - despite all the evidence to the contrary. So, this cute little document was just circulated by some other Lyme patients/advcocates: "SECTION VI - LABORATORY HAZARDS LABORATORY-AQUIRED INFECTIONS: 45 reported cases up to 1976 with 2 deaths. SOURCES/SPECIMENS: Clinical specimens - blood, cerebrospinal fluid, urine, skin scr*pings, retinal and synovial specimens; naturally or experimentally infected mammals, their ectoparasites and their infected tissues. PRIMARY HAZARDS: Accidental parenteral inoculation and exposure to infectious aerosols. SPECIAL HAZARDS: Ectoparasites (ticks) on laboratory animals." Randy Sykes found this on a Canadian government website, and it had been removed from Un. of Colorado. (this is a pdf, just so you are aware) www.dropbox.com/s/gyq5io22z126k02/Infectious%20Agent%20%2045%20lab%20acquired%20infections%20and%202%20deaths%20from%20Lyme%20pathogen%2C%20up%20to%201976%21%20%20KAREN%20VH%20posted%202.13.2019.pdf?dl=0

Why isn’t there updated information since researchers have published it?

Oh, well these documents were pulled from their online site - you can guess why.
I've seen this a number of times - information is finally dug up on something that doesn't back what the 'prominent researchers' want us to believe, so the article/site is taken down.
Why hasn't any more research been done on this aspect (or any other that you wish to mention)? One word - money. It simply does not pay to produce articles/publications that don't align with what those holding the purse strings want published. It's really that simple.
