Now that Ive started treatment, there's no turning back?

Ha ha ha! That picture is perfect! In a way, once we start treatments, there is no turning back. Especially if we find a treatment that actually helps us feel better, because we then know that it's possible.
I know that I will be in treatment for as long as it takes. I healed once and felt amazing, and while I'm not really looking for that (I would most certainly take it though!), I just can't live feeling really poorly. I simply can't take that knowledge away from myself that it's possible to feel better than I do. So, onward and upward!

Nope no turning back. I tried for years to find something to make me feel decent. After a long time I finally found something. I will stay with it, it makes me feel a lot better and human again. BUT I won't stop it, I tried and went backwards! So as I call it, I take holidays from my treatments for a few days. I am with Traveler, I am not into feeling bad all the time. I keep going on with my treatments, because that's the only way I feel some what human again.
Love your pic!

Hi Randy!-
Ha ha Ha!!!! Love the picture!!!
When I first got diagnosed, I didn't know much at all about Lyme Disease. I figured one month, maybe two months of treatment because I had it so long. Then I opened up Pandora's Box of "WTH is this!!"
Yeah, I had the same look of horror on my face as the kid in the picture through my treatment. Between some of the strange symptoms and the cost of certain medications!

Im a bit different than most folks. I had symptoms prior to herbs but nothing like what Ive exp'd since changing diet back in June of last yr. My biggest issue was and is muscle/collagen loss and weakness. Now Ive exp many other symptoms but these are the worst and continue to get worse now that im treating. Most of my other symptoms are gone or have eased up. I mean I got hit with so many symptoms it made my head spin. And I keep thinking would I have exp these if I never treated? I guess its normal thought.

Little Bear, yes I opened Pandoras Box. Exactly! Its almost like I now have to exp the full force of the infections before I can be healed even though Im treating.

It IS normal to ask these questions, but please know that treating is always the option to choose. I didn't treat until I was 37 years into my infections - and although the symptoms did get extensively worse, that only showed how much damage and dysfunction was being created "quietly" inside of my body.
Yes, it's a bit like opening Pandora's box - but we need to open it in order to clear it out. Otherwise the infections just "quietly" continue to cause damage and dysfunction.

Yeah thats the quagmire and the question is always.."How much worse does it get till it gets better"? And the answer is always.."Its different for everyone for each infection". Yes "quietly" is the big thing. Im learning that when you see the symptoms the infection has already done lots of damage.

Have you ever tried Gelatin for your collagen loss? If I remember correctly, some people have tried this and had luck. I think that Great Lakes Gelatin was mentioned. Some people put 1 or 2 Tablespoons of the powder into a green smoothie or tea daily.
I have also wondered if I would have experienced all my weird symptoms if I never treated.
I also wonder; what if I still didn't know that I have lyme and co's, who knows how many other wrong diagnosis I would have had gone through in the last couple of years.
I would have to agree that it is a very normal thought to have.
(((HUGS!))) This disease is a very crazy ride! A ride that none of us ever wanted to get on!
Best Wishes!

Yeah I have a bottle of great lakes. I put some in my coffee one time and i felt like cr*p. Never did it again. Part of me is like why bother my body is supposed to make collagen naturally. When it comes back Ill know im really healing.

I kind of had a feeling that you already knew about the gelatin. Sorry to hear that it didn't agree with you.
Please do keep in mind that we have to try and support our body while it is being attacked by this monster. But I do understand your frustration with always trying new things that don't seem to help.
Best Wishes!

I tried bone broth and had a bad reaction from it - come to find out, bone marrow has natural MSG in it, and I'm allergic to MSG! But, even tough I was allergic to the MSG, the bone broth was actually helping - but I just couldn't continue it, of course. If you were to make bone broth, and you used things like 'knuckles' instead of other bones, there would be collagen in your bone broth. Just a thought.
I can't afford to get all I need to support my body well enough, but I do what I can. This means that I'm not taking anything to address my collagen loss either, and while I hate the way I look, I'll know when I'm healing well. It came back once, so hopefully it will happen again instead of being a one time thing!
Best of luck to you, Randy!

Yeah Im looking at making some bone broth soup of some kind cuz I love soup. Been on a homemade chicken noodle soup kick the last month lol Since I have a big ass kitchen here in the new house Ive been happier cooking more for the family. Before when it was just me and my son in our rat hole apt with mold I always hated cooking in the little tiny ass kitchen.

Summer16,
I do essential oils for my lyme disease. It's not for everyone, but it's like everything else in treating Lyme, not every treatment fits others
