So it happened again, I got on this thread cause I needed cheering up & saw ( besides the funny stuff) your very kind replies from last time I was feeling down & posted here. Thanks so much guys. You’re the greatest , really.
The dog ‘meme’ ( but sure what that is ) is really good too! That’s what my boys are doing right now. I’m sure they’d rather be outside running around & chewing bones ( like my female is) but they never make me feel like they wanna be anywhere besides in bed with me.

Let's just call them all memes, even if they aren't!!!! It simplifies things for our poor tired brains. LOL. I have two dogs that just LOVE to snuggle with me in bed when I need to be there during the day. I'm sure they would rather stay with me than to be anywhere else, also the younger one does get down to check out what's happening in the rest of the house from time to time, he never fails to come back to the bed to be with me. Now, when I'm not in bed all day - they are running around and enjoying their life - it's not like they are tied to my ankles the whole day. I know that many dogs just know when we are not feeling well, and they want to love and comfort us, which is why they choose to stay close when we don't feel well. Take it, take in the comfort they are hoping to provide, and love them for it! Any time you want to talk, you can also message me, or send me an email, if you have my email address, Casa. I'm here as a sounding board, and as someone to vent to that won't share details with others. I just want to be sure you understand that. Hugs to you today!!!!

I'm afraid you may get more strange looks than I do when the neighbors see me digging up my dandelions (they know I use them!) or find me dangling from one of the trees when the wild persimmons are ripe!! LOL!!

Soooo, I have a confession to make (LOL), We went away for the weekend to a function for IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). My hubby was a Master Electrician that traveled for work. So, I had a really great time seeing the people I used to see all the time while traveling with hubby for work as a traveling Master Electrician, and met a few new people that I suspect we will be friends with as well. But, the first full day there was wrapped in too much excitement - and by that I mean bad excitement. My little long haired Chihuahua had a severe allergic reaction, and although he survived, it got more than a little dicey as to whether he would survive. I knew that if I rushed him to a vet, that the only thing they could do was give him benadryl and watch him - and run blood work to try to figure out what he had such a severe allergic reaction to - but I really didn't need to know what it was, I just needed him to survive. After about 8 benadryl tablets being shoved down that poor baby's throat, me assisting his breathing (his tongue and throat were swelling shut) off and on for nearly 10 hours - he was okay!!!! But, that did a number on me, because I didn't sleep but 4 hours that night, and it was restless sleep, as I was listening to his breathing. After talking to others that have had Chihuahua's and doing a little online research, we discovered that Chihuahua's have a ton of allergies often, and can have anphylactic reactions to some things. Personally, I'm sure that's because humans got involved in breeding these little guys down to such a small size and what they call Apple head Chihuahua's - but that's another discussion. So, we are all good, we all actually had a great time, but boy, am I ever wiped out!!! Oh, and I got the biggest cold sore ever from all that stress!! Dang it!!! Upped my dose of Lysine and it's working well already!! So, we make it back home (I managed to actually drive half way home!! That was 250 miles!! Proof I'm doing better!!!), and I hadn't been sleeping well yet (adrenal issues), but last night I did sleep really hard, even though I wound up getting up 3 times last night (once for me, twice for dogs - boy, I wish they would co-ordinate better!!). At some point in the night, I had to change the toilet paper roll - but instead of putting it on the holder - I put the little bar that holds the toilet paper.....in my pocket!!! And then went back to bed! Boy, that was about the oddest thing I've ever found in my pocket after waking up!!!

I’m so glad your little guy is ok, and I’m so glad you were able to nurse him through it instead of having to deal with and spend money on a vet. I used to use Lysine for my cold sores too. I’m not sure why, but I rarely get them anymore. The toilet paper roll roll bar was in your pocket!!! So funny!

You go right ahead and rest, Alyeska!!! I know you had a rough weekend too! I have to admit that was one of the more odd things I've found in my pockets!! LOL! Especially from getting up out of bed! Thank you! Our little guy is doing really good now! Although, he is hanging closer to me again for now as well. But, that's okay - every time he and I go through something like this, I feel a little closer to him as well.

Hey..so glad your pup is alright! Dog emergencies are so stressful, especially when you’re away from home..
The toilet paper tube thing is great... I’m still laughing...
Hope you guys are resting up... me too !
