One of my teenage sons and my husband very sweetly asked if I wanted to get out of the house and go for lunch and shopping at an antique mall with them earlier, and I got texted this. What makes it even funnier is that this particular son is dyslexic! Seriously, if I don’t laugh I’ll cry!

Sweet of them! They want you to smile.
I agree, we have to find a way to laugh once in a while. These infections just can't take everything from us!
Hope you're all warm. We've had below freezing temps for a week in New England. Wish it could eliminate all the ticks for good!

Yes it is freezing here in the northeast...I love the winter (crazy, I know)...
Your family is wonderful, having a good sense of humor, trying to lift your spirit....

It's cold here too up in the north. Freezing at night...and just above freezing during the day.
Supposed to warm up soon, though.
I hate the cold. It ramps up my nervous system issues.

O my gosh I am so over this cold and SNOW! I live around the beach area and we don't get this cold or snow! I hurt so bad from it I could scream! My humor is even frozen! lol... this stuff isn't funny! I had to go help shovel, Guy gets stuck in front of our house had to get help to push it off the road! lol we have had so much fun in the past week or what ever it is over this cold! We have at least 2 feet of snow than there are the drifts that I ended up getting lost in! lol. I feel like do do. I had to take my poor baby dog to get her stitches out today, I was a mess driving, but the roads were ok. JUST COLD is it spring yet? I am not leaving this house until than!

And, our winter has just begun down here! Sorry!! But we are in for a wallop this time! They are predicting ICE and snow next week!! Ugh. I don't mind it much, as I stay home, so it's pretty to look at from inside! LOL!
Although I grew up in the ice and snow (northern Idaho, 60 miles south of the Canadian border, in a snow belt!! ACK!) and then moved back there as an adult for a few years so my kids could get to know my grandma on my dad's side - and learned that is NOT the place for me! LOL! So I moved south, very south. But, the people here have no idea how to drive in winter weather, and yet, they still try!!!! Boy, we get some really bad wrecks around here when the weather gets bad because of this too. And, that's why I just stay home. I keep my pantry and freezer well stocked, so we are good for weeks if need be! LOL!
A good sense of humor is so needed with these infections!! My family never lets me down - or is that they never leave me alone? LOL!! But, I do appreciate it most days. I don't want to act "sick" all the time, even though I am.

Alyeska- Love the ‘got lime’ thing... really funny. Like you said, if u didn’t laugh you’d cry. I find that to apply to so many things with these diseases. And it’s usually better to laugh!
My family & friends ( except one) still haven’t figured out that it’s ok to laugh about this stuff ... although I would appreciate it! They also don’t seem to get/ appreciate my lame jokes in reference to myself eaither... oh well.
About the cold... yeah, we’ve had some serious cold lately too, but I’ve got a wood stove , so I don’t much mind. I do mind that we had a major thaw here today & it’s all ice, wet snow , and especially MUD! Ugh. Dogs are coming in like giant sponges full of mud.

I'm giggling now. I bet Dr. J. would even crack up seeing that joke.

I love this one - well, I also regret this!!!! LOL - good one, Traveler! How often does that happen? A LOT!!!! right? LOL! Definitely too often!!! But, that's the case for most Lyme patients. We research things so well and learn our bodies so well that often, the doctors are nervous talking to us -and sometimes they are intimidated!!!! So - keep it up all you Lymies (said affectionately, I promise!!).

If I'm out of my pajamas by noon - it's a productive day...lol Most of my pajamas are just actual comfy clothes now. I wear really comfy sleep bras all of the time now so that I’m ready for anything even if I’m surprised by a pack of teenagers.
