Hey guys, I know this is a weird question, but I don't bruise anymore.
Anybody else experience this?
I used to bruise pretty badly, like even for little painless things- I'd have bruises everywhere & no clue what I'd done.
I also used to have really bad dark circles under my eyes. They went away pretty much over night when I got bells palsey. Like some bizarre trade off ...haha. I don't miss them, just wonder if it's tied into whatever reason I'm no longer showing bruises.
Seems like both of those things changed over the last 2 years, to the point that now I've done quite a few things that should result in major bruising - and it feels like they are bruised - sometimes even with some minor swelling - but no visible bruises.
Obviously it's not the most important thing, but it just seems really weird... any ideas?

I would say that you likely need to have your blood tested for it's "thickness" - to see if your clotting factor is at okay levels (called a PT/INR - hubby has had major, life threatening bleeds, so I know a bit about this). That would rule out the more serious issues that could be looming.
Do you take things that can thicken your blood? Red root can for some people, turmeric will thin the blood though.

Heard anything yet? My LLMD says dark eye circles are from too little iron. I get mystery bruises all of the time and have for years. I just can’t tolerate the iron supplements I’m supposed to take. So many things make me nauseous, but those I can’t even get down.

You know, I was told this a lot too, and since I was usually anemic, I couldn't argue - but now I'm no longer anemic and I STILL have those dark circles under my eyes!! I've been watching them closely, and I'm thinking it has more to do with my thyroid function than anything else. I'm not saying that this is the real cause for everyone, but don't just take the standard saying "you're anemic" as being correct. What do your blood tests say about your iron and ferritin levels?

My iron and ferritin are good. My thyroid stuff looks good too. For me it's probably just exhaustion! XD

Hey, thanks for all the replies...
finally saw the LLMD & she said “ to just be happy” that I don’t bruise anymore ... She was totally unconcerned, only said it was “strange “ that I used to bruise so much & have dark circles & now I don’t.... hmmmm.
Anyway, since I’ve not noticed any other problems related to this I won’t worry about it now. I will ask my Natural doc when I see him though.
Im not totally trusting of this doc ( or any doc, haha ) Ive caught her in quite a few lies or trying to downplay particular things etc. So overall, the lack of bruising thing doesn’t worry me, but I’m not necessarily trusting my docs opinion on it eaither....
ps. I forgot to answer Travelers question before about things that could potentially thicken or thin blood, I do take turmeric, not red root.

Turmeric thins the blood (my hubby is on warfarin daily, and has to be very careful with using turmeric, but it's his only help for inflammation), so it's not from using turmeric that your bruising has lessened.
Red root thickens the blood, and you aren't taking that, so we know that's not what's going on.
One of the other more common issues can be Bartonella though. It can cause inflammation and issues with the lining of the blood vessels, so they are more easily broken - and we get more bruises showing up.
