Hi, I have a small multi pimple like rash on my right forearm. It is itchy....I looked and looked online today but could not find anything that looked like this rash....There are 5 very tiny red pimples (bright red) almost in a row....Very strange.... Herx ? reaction to herbs ? (I have been taking them for several weeks now) nothing new.... Wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this ? I did wear a new wool sweater the day before the rash developed so who knows ! Nervous due to the tick sob.... Thank you, Scott
I hope 2 questions back to back is ok....

I hope 2 questions back to back is ok.... I really hope it's just an allergy to wool. I can't wear it. I would have itchy red dots anywhere it touched my skin. What's surprising is that I can use lanolin as a moisturizer though. Bugs REALLY like wool too, and they can come in straight from the store with bugs. Is it cold where you live? You could hang the sweater outside or put it a few days in your car if it's freezing. I did that with an old quilt I bought once. I put it in a big plastic ziplock bag before I even brought it into my house and stuck it in my freezer for a week before I would even look at it inside. There were no bugs, but I love antiques and have seen the damage they can do to natural fibers.

Hi, Today the rash seems to be less severe, not itchy, actually almost gone....Will a Bart rash come and go that fast ? Off to the integrative doc's today for blood tests and general exam (made the appt. weeks ago). I will discuss my issues as well....
Placed the sweater in the car (can't hurt)....I live in the Northeast and it will be quite cold the next few days....
I think Bart makes sense with my symptoms (fatigue, scratchy throat, slightly constant swollen glands under jaw, slight headache, stiff neck) Thank you, Scott

Hey Acres, you can ask as many questions as pertain to any one subject that you post about! The only issue is, if you have a lot of questions, it will be hard to answer them all in one post, so that's when you would be better to break it up into a few different posts is all. It's more a matter of making sure that you get your questions answered, so lots of questions in one post may mean that some don't get answered. Otherwise, it's all good!!
While Bartonella can't be ruled out for the rash, it could also be candida or just a 'detoxing rash'. You will have to fill in some information before you will know which it is though. If you have been consuming quite a bit of sugar still (in foods you may not realize contain a lot of sugar) or if you have other signs of candida, I would suggest that it's a candida rash.
When our body gets overloaded with toxins (particularly the liver), it will push even more toxins through the skin, resulting in pimples of different types, depending on the amount of toxins being pushed through the skin. If you have recently changed your detoxing routines, added in more treatments (which you have, right?), or have been under a lot of stress lately, it could be just your body trying to cope with the extra toxins.

Hi, Not very itchy anymore, but spread slightly. Very tiny red spots (poppy seed) with a couple a larger ones (sesame seed).... At times they seem to change color from red to skin color, then an hour later they are red again....
Right now fatigue, stiff neck and painful lymph nodes under the jaw driving me nuts....It seems to come in waves..... Scott

First of all, I'm so sorry that this is still going on. How are you doing on those lymph massages and dry skin brushing? Those really will help ease the lymph system. Also, do you take red root, or know of a reason why you shouldn't? And, how is the rest of your detoxing going? Do you know if you have EBV (Epstein Barr Virus) or other viruses as well? Most of us do. If you have EBV or CMV, you can add in lysine to help with the fatigue. Lysine doesn't do anything for the fatigue directly, but it helps lower the levels of those viruses that cause the fatigue by blocking the arganine that helps those viruses thrive.

Hi, Dry brush 2 times a day then shower and lymph massage at least 3 times a day for about 10 min. each time. Epsom/HP bathes everyday & 3 glasses of lemon water a day.... Never ordered Yogi Tea (just realized, it completely slipped my mind)
Ordered red root still waiting for it to arrive....
I have no idea if I have those viruses now. Never had mono when I was younger.... Thank you, Scott

Okay, I would encourage you to get those things started (red root and detox tea) and see how you do. You should consider something to help your liver detox better as well - milk thistle or dandelion root - as they may be needed as well. This is a full time job! LOL (okay, funny but not funny).

Hi, Yes, I am starting to see the full time commitment to this....C diff wasn't even close.... I am going to start a diary with a table of proceedures, herbs, diet and supplements to help me remember what I am doing...
Do you think Vitamin Shoppe would have quality products ? I could get them and start the same day (nervous their products are junk)....I know Woodland Essence is highly regarded, but waiting for the items to arrive is annoying .... Red Root has been taking a considerable length of time to get here.... Thanks, Scott

Thanks, Scott A diary is very helpful, especially in the beginning when we are trying to keep track of things that we are not used to watching for, helping to make sure we are taking our herbs and meds as we should, and don't forget to include what you are doing for detoxing too. I have my own theory on different places to buy things. There are times where any is better than none - and there are times when it really takes using a high quality herb/med to get the help we are in need of. What I do when, depends on my money situation at any given point, and what I'm using. For example - vitamin C has not shown to be a supplement that I seriously need a high quality brand for, so I use a cheaper brand so I can afford to keep it going. Licorice, peppermint, quercetin, Vitamin D and a few other herbs/supplements though, I count on tremendously to have good, high quality products to help my body through. I would encourage you to look around to see if there is a local herb shop in your area (don't know what size of a town/city you might live in) that you could become a customer of. I bought most of my herbs through my (sort of) local health food store and they gave me discounts if I bought a pound of any herb from them, which made it very competitive against online stores. I now use a lot of herbs that they don't carry though, so I'm buying the majority of my herbs online now. It does take some planning to keep from running out!!!

Red Root has been taking a considerable length of time to get here.... Thanks, Scott I'm so sorry that you're going through all of this, Scott. One thing that helped me in the beginning was getting one of those huge weekly pill containers that I used to think were for old people. It really helped with all of my supplements, and I'd just sit down every week and fill it up. Eventually I got to the point where I'd just write what I needed to take on the supplement bottle top if it's a light color or put tape on dark colors and write on that. (Ex. 3 pills 2x day) Now I just have everything memorized, but that took years. I still haven't figured out a way to make all of my vitamin and supplement bottles look nice on my coffee table. Luckily I don't have many people just stopping in any more except very close friends, family, or teenagers, and none of them care. Do you have any chiropractors around you? My father who was a surgeon was always leery of them because a lot of them would do things that would help your back while possibly causing trouble with other parts of your body (ex. Inversion boots are great for your back, but spending too much time upside down could cause complications with eye pressure, especially for glaucoma patients. Dad freaked when he saw my pics of my roommate in inversion boots and told her to make sure to set a timer so she didn't hang upside down too long!) Anyway, I'm not suggesting that you go to one, but they frequently carry good herbs and supplements. I know a couple, and they each carry quality brands and hard-to-find items. I can also find quality things at a compounding pharmacy in the next town over, and they usually are a good resource to tell me where to get herbs if they don't carry them. It's often worth the drive there for me to get the things I want the same day too. Waiting for stuff to be mailed can be so irritating when you're feeling rotten. Good luck, and hang in there!
