Computer crashed over the holiday ! Had to call Dell (virus attack)...
Continued improvement....I am hoping the new holistic meds are doing the job.... I was nervous about taking the Andrographis (I have allergies) but no rash from the herb ! I am also up to full dose of the Immuplex and Thymex with no side effects.... Yesterday was my 1st day without a headache in over a month ! My glands under my jaw are still enlarged, but no pain and no sore throat.... Glass is half full !

Congratulations, Acres!!!!! What a wonderful 'report'!!!
Are you doing the lymph massages? Do you take red root? Those will help with the glands under your jaw. Mine will get so swollen you can see them and they hurt really bad! I use red root daily, and do lymph massages any time they get sore now.

Hi acres!-
What WONDERFUL news to hear that you are having continued improvements!!!! YAY!!!
I am happy to hear that you are doing well with taking the Andrographis and that you are up to full dose of the Immuplex and Thymex!
In the past I aslo was nervous about some of the meds/herbs that I took. And especially since you knew about a possible allergic reaction, that can be very scary. Other symptoms of a mild allergic reaction can include: hives, itching, nasal congestion, scratchy throat, and watery/itchy eyes. Just a little reminder, since an allergic reaction can happen at any time. Also, you should keep some Benadryl near by. That way if you start to have a reaction you can take it right away. I had to take Benadryl once because I broke out in hives after starting a new medication.
That is great to hear about a day without a headache and your sore throat is better!! That is Awesome!!!
Please do remember to keep up with the daily detoxing. Sometimes when we start to feel a little better, we start to slack on getting rid of the toxins.
Thank you for keeping us updated!

Hi, Thank you for your uplifting support... I feel even better reading your post.... I have prescription allergy medicine on hand at all times..... Still doing the bathes, brushing myself before a shower and lemon water... Thanks for the reminders ..... I have to go upstate NY for several days (take care of Mom)... Before lyme I would go often. I do the food shopping and taxi service....A good friend picked up the slack for me the past 7 weeks..... This will be a test of my immune system and endurance.... Must remember to bring all my herbs and tonics and detox items !

Hi, Should have replied in 1 post...sorry, but my lap top is not happy at the moment....
No, I do not take red root, but I will give it a go, as I am now a firm supporter of herbal treatments.... Thank you for your advice and support ....
My computer is driving me crazy, as it is not functioning very well.... If I am missing in action here, that's the reason....

Hi, Is Red Root better to take in liquid form or the capsule ? Woodland Essence has the liquid extract. Wondering if that is the best item to purchase ? How many drops and/or capsules do you take for your lymph nodes ? Thank you Traveler

Hi, Is Red Root better to take in liquid form or the capsule ? Woodland Essence has the liquid extract. Wondering if that is the best item to purchase ? How many drops and/or capsules do you take for your lymph nodes ? Thank you Traveler Oh no!! I've had my computer hacked twice now (why I'm down to a lap top at the moment) - I guess I've been posting too much information about Lyme! LOL! I know of others that are active in posting about Lyme that have had their computers hacked as well - and worse! I do hope that you get it worked out soon! Personally, I started out on red root tinctures, but have in the last year or so switched over to using the herb powder instead. I take about 5 herbal powders in juice (as per Buhner) and add most of my tinctures to that (digestive bitters are kept separate). I like doing it this way, as herbal powders are cheaper than tinctures, and for many of the herbs I take, it doesn't matter if they are in tincture form or powder form (except the digestive bitters). I also buy my herbs as 'loose herbs' or 'bulk herbs' (not in capsules), as they nearly always add fillers to capsules - and it's cheaper!! Buhner suggests red root tincture at 1/4 tsp to 1 tsp 3 times daily - I am currently using 1/2 tsp twice daily most days (once in a while, I need to take a bit more when I seem to be detoxing a lot). When I first started out using herbs, I was soooo overly toxic that I had to use higher doses of poke root, but you must be very, very careful with that root, as it is dangerous at higher levels -and yet it was the only herb that would help me at first. I used poke root for the first 8 months of treatment, then was able to switch to red root (a safer herb to use).

Wow...Just woke up to esophagus wheezing, swollen glands, pain behind the eyes, sweating, chest ache, neck/back of head ache....Out of nowhere..... None of the symptoms are very severe , but waking up to multiple symptoms was very frightening...I was feeling so good.... Maybe the stress thinking about my trip to upstate NY taxed my immune system.... Taking Xanax and Clarinex right now.....
And my wife just discovered a rash on my right shoulder (multiple very small red pimples) directly in front of the tick bite and a few on my chest.... Maybe it's herxing ? or the lyme s.o.b. ?
Is there a herb that calms down esophagus irritation not due to reflux ? This is the most annoying symptom..... I have manuka honey and ginger. I will double down on these.... Well, back to Buhner's book and website again.... A google search suggested slippery elm for the esophagus ? Glass is still half full....
Sorry about the whining (since c diff I can have extreme anxiety issues)....but I really needed to vent.... Thank you for listening

Hi acres!-
Oh No!!!! I am sorry to hear about all the symptoms you had this morning. I hope that you are doing somewhat better now. (((HUGS!)))
Maybe someone has some ideas of what herbs and how much helped them when they had irritation in their esophagus.
Is the rash on your shoulder itchy? Have you started anything new recently? Could it be an allergic reaction?

I was also wondering if you started something new, changed a dose, or were under a little too much stress? If you are really concerned about your trip, believe me, that's enough to bring out more symptoms!! Also, the rash may be part of the increase in symptoms - but it would still be a good idea to document it (take a picture of it) in case it proves to be something you should have noted.
I'm so very sorry though! I do know what it's like to wake up to new symptoms - and it's not fun!! Talk about raising your anxiety levels right away!! Ugh!
Definitely sounds like a good day to concentrate on detoxing and calming your anxiety! Please do check in - we want to know when you are struggling!!
