Several months ago I was having one of my gut discomfort episodes (aftermath of c diff)..... To be honest I will get one if I misbehave with my diet....Drinking beer, eating pizza etc.... Anyway, I started to drink lemon water (3 glasses a day) and by the 3rd day my gut went crazy with cramps etc....(I will not tmi you).... Could my body have been herxing something ? I think it is a possibility. I am considering trying it (very slowly) with the peroxide bathes....and wanted some feedback... Thank, Scott

There are a few people that will experience a herx from lemon water alone, so it may very well have been that. The lemon, although acidic, once mixed with stomach acid becomes alkaline. So, if you are overly acidic, this will help correct it - and can cause that herx.
I would suggest that you use only very small amounts of lemon juice at first - you can build up as you tolerate it more and more.
Do be careful with this though - too much is not good for us either. I had a lot of skin from the inside of my mouth slough off once! That was a bit weird! LOL!
Also, be sure to rinse your mouth with clear water after drinking the lemon water, or use a straw, as the lemon is hard on the enamel of the teeth.

I've had a lemon water question for ages... always forget to ask( go figure...)
Exactly how much lemon water are you supposed to drink/ day?
I usually drink 2 lemons worth. sometimes I swap one out for a lime instead. But I only drink it 2x a day ( in maybe 2-3 cups of water, maybe less...) Morning & evening. Is this enough?
I'm lucky to be able to get both organic where I live for not much more than the regular ones, so I do.
Oh, I also drink a ton of water & herbal teas etc. I go through at least a gallon a day...there's just not lemon in most of it...

This, like nearly everything with these infections, is individual.
I've found lately I can't drink !such Leon water, and then there's times that's all I want, well after my first cup of fake coffee anyway!
The amount of lemon I use varies too. But I have also been drinking lemon water for the last 10 years, soooo its not surprising that things change around a bit.
During the warmer days, I can drink a gallon of water alone, more if I'm working outside. But during colder days, I can struggle to get 2 quarts of water in me. I use hit herbal teas to boost my fluid intake, but don't worry about it too much unless I'm herxing. Then I drink as much liquid as I can force down me to help flush those toxins out.
