First of all, this is not the place for anyone with a newer infection. Most people that have been infected for a few years or less have a really good chance at getting into remission still. I have ZERO desire to encourage you to quit trying to reach remission. I know a TON of people that are now in remission and doing very well. Please, give your body the time and support it needs to possibly heal. The rest of this site (and many other sites) are dedicated specifically to those still trying to find ways to heal or reach remission. This one spot here is reserved for those that no long feel this is a viable option for them - so they intend on finding ways to cope and still have as much life in their life as they can.
For those that didn't know, I haven't been actively treating for reaching full remission in some time now. Why? Because I don't believe that the treatments that are being used will actually work for me any longer, or if they do, I would have to be hospitalized in order to be sure I survived it all, because of my severe GI involvement and adrenal issues that I can't seem to quite conquer, among a few other things.
So, I've decided that since there are others out there like me, who have been fighting this honorable fight for way too long, and are no longer looking for active infection treatments, but for support, maybe some suggestions on what to do for this or that issue, or just need a place to be 'tired of it all'. I hope this is that place for us.
No forms of abuse or harassment will be tolerated in this space at all. No one is to be asking if another has used this or that protocol to try to heal - please make the assumption we have already tried all we can/can afford to. Suggestions when someone asks for something like nausea, pins and needles feeling that won't respond to other things, and so on will not only be accepted, but encouraged - but allow the person to ask first. They may just need a safe place to vent frustration!!! For example, I deal with a TON of nausea. If any little thing is off, here comes the nausea....and it gets hard to stay calm, cool and collected some days when I'm at the end of my rope.
Now, I know that I have personally had many offers from others to not only vent, but for asking questions - and I adore each and every one of you!!!! But, this is for those that don't have other options, and I'll still be posting on here too. As most that know me understand, I try to not complain much. I do have a pretty good handle on what's going on for me, and how to function around it. Now I want to see if we can help provide that for others 'stuck' in a similar situation as I am.
