So, after all the stress of this last summer, I was afraid I was going to loose ground with my sleeping - but I haven't!! Not only that, but I got brave, feeling like my body might be ready, I managed to lower my adrenal and thyroid meds (just a touch, nothing too drastic - I'm chicken!!) and I'm sleeping really good - if I don't do something dumb, anyway!!! LOL! I have to admit that it still takes a lot of supplements and angles to help me get to sleep at first and any time I wake, but things are definitely improving! Yay for Trav's adrenals!!!!

I have to use melatonin, tryptophan, magnesium, avena sativa, motherwort, and frequently valerian root as well - just to get some sleep. Of course, as I said, it's mainly my adrenals, so I'm on track with keeping them "medicated", but I still have to do a lot for sleep. If I'm in pain, it will take me doing even more to be able to sleep more than just 3 or 4 hours at night. On those nights, I rely on my sedative herbs, because that's the only thing that works for me that's not addictive or something I have to take nightly (whether I need it or not) just to keep the levels in my body right for the medication to work. Boy, I hated that! I'd much rather only treat for what's currently going on with my body!

My problem is that my mind does not shut off. That's what keeps me from falling asleep. My mind thinks of things that occurred a month ago...LOL...
