This is the best site I've found for solid, accurate thyroid information. I have been using information from this site to not only help treat my own thyroid and adrenal issues, but to locate a doctor that was not against using naturally desiccated thyroid (non-synthetic thyroid), understand why the TSH testing alone is bogus for thyroid function, and so much more! They even have a list of labs that you can order some of your own hormonal tests from! STTM/ Stop The Thyroid Madness For adrenals, while I don't agree with a lot on his site about treatments and such, the information presented allowed me to understand much more about my adrenals, why I was having such issues, the rate of healing (you think healing Lyme is slow???) and more. Good information, just realize that his ideas about how to heal them may not work for each of us. Dr. Lam - adrenal health

While my adrenal issues got waaay out of hand and although I wasn't diagnosed with Addisons, I did have those symptoms. So I kind of started off behind the 8 ball - but I've been in treatment for my adrenal (and thyroid because my adrenal took my thyroid down with it) issues for the last 4 years now. I'm doing A LOT better now, but I know I have a ways to go still and may have to support them the rest of my life.
Seriously low functioning adrenals and thyroid have hampered my healing from the tick borne infections I got when I was reinfected. The closer to healing my adrenal I get, the less stress on my body and the better my immune function will be though.
